Tokujin Yoshioka, a renowned Japanese designer, was born in 1967.
His journey into the world of design began in 1986 when he graduated from the Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo. Following his academic pursuits, Yoshioka honed his skills under the guidance of renowned architect Shiro Kuramata.
Career at Issey Miyake and Independent Practice
Yoshioka's professional trajectory took a significant turn when he joined Issey Miyake.
During his time there, he made his mark with the design of the Issey Miyake Ginza store in Tokyo. In 1992, he embarked on a freelancing career, establishing his own studio, Tokujin Yoshioka Design, in 2000.
